Update

Yea, I know I haven't updated for almost a week but there has been nothing to blog! My life consisted of biking to work, biking home for lunch, biking back to work, and then bike back home at 5:30. THAT WAS IT! There is no partying in there at all! My dad treats my job like school and won't let me go out on weeknights grr....I think my parents are still planning to go on a trip in August though and that's when I'll catch up with the partying...hopefully....
I need to know when people are free on the weekend so I can have my Steven Chow party! I really want to have one this summer because I know we're going to be laughing our heads off watching these movies. I mean, I just finished watching Shaolin Soccer a couple of days ago and my stomach hurt afterwards. It sucks though that the American version cut out the whole singing/dancing outside of the chinese bread shop scene. I guess non-chinese people won't understand it, or maybe it'll make chinese people look like idiots more than intellectual people. I have another night meeting tomorrow and I probably won't be getting home until 11 again. I mean, is this right for someone like me who doesn't really know what's going on, or won't be working after August 12 to go to night meetings? I'm not even getting paid that much either! BAH.
I'm currently watching the food network and I can't peel my eyes off the screen. It seems like the aroma of the cinnamon rolls are seeping through the glass and into my nose. I can feel my heart racing and arteries clogging. *drool*.

hmmm...

What if you're a genie, and you had to grant someone their wishes (so not one of those "free genies"). And this guy or girl says, "i wish for you to not grant this wish." What would you do?!

willy wonka, willy wonka

Oh yea, that's right, I watched Willy Wonka today. It was actaully very different from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. One of the major differences were the oompa loompas. In the original version, the oompa loompas were actually different people, but in this version, they're all the same person, just copy and pasted over and over and over again. The songs and the dancing were really weird, I guess Tim Burton was trying to modernize it from the first version of the movie. The whole subplot with Wonka's past was a little bit unnecessary, but its Christopher Lee so I can't really say much about that. The sets were definitely really extravagent but not as much attention was paid to it which was kindof a disappointment. To me, Johnny Depp is a very dark (eg. Edward Scissorhands) or steamy (eg. Don Juan or even Pirates) and it just didn't seem to fit right when he played the role of this quirky Willy Wonka (plus he was really toothy).
Earlier that day, my sister and I went to the Y with other people, there was lots of rain, and some weird mix ups. Ahh..so lying doesn't count with ID (must remember that for the future). We met up with Howard for swimming and then Stella for badminton. It was a lot of fun and I'm glad I was able to get out and get some exercise. Afterward all the sweating and exercise, we went to Bayview Village and discovered there was a sidewalk sale..except it was Bayview Village and a "sale" there is like $50. Stella and Abby bought their Harry Potter books and Abby and I went to Scarborough Town to buy my dad's birthday presents and discovered they also had a sidewalk sale going on. We bought tshirts from Stitches and stuff from La Senza...oh La Senza, I love their sales. Here's a good tip for shoppers, when there's a table of shirts in the front of the store, the chances are that the size or the pattern you want is probably not there, but there's usually a small table near the back of the store that has a lot more sizes AND patterns so don't forget to check it. That's where my sister and I found our shirts in the end.

Cuz I felt like it..

Your Libra Drinking Style

"I'm jusht a social drinker," you slur, "it's jusht that I'm so damn social?"
You love nothing more than to party, mingle and relate to everyone.
Whether dipped in favor of Good Libra (with Insta-Friend device set to "on") or heavier on the Evil Libra side (you are little instigators when bored), you can really work a room.

Charming as you are, you are notoriously lacking in self-control.
And this can get you into all sorts of trouble -- including wearing their wobbly boots waaaay too early in the evening.
You may end up flirting with you best friend's sweetie or even blacking out the night's events entirely. Oops!
Your Signature Cocktails
Aesthetic Libras like pretty, pouffy drinks like a pink lady or a brandy Alexander. That's the influence of Venus, your ruling planet, which also gives you a horror of crudely named potions like Sex on the Beach. You're fine with "normal" guzzles like apple martinis, but every Libra secretly just wants champagne... and lots of it.
Your Celebrity Drinking Buddies
Eminem, Simon Cowell, Avril Lavigne, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Usher, Gwen Stefani, Hillary Duff, and Will Smith.

Johnny Depp is THE MAN

Yea, you heard me, no one can beat him in sexiness. I just finished watching AtoZ Johnny Depp (for the second time I think), and it reminded me of how much i think he's extremely gorgeous. Which reminds me...Charlie and the Chocolate Factory comes out today I believe, so I must go watch it!!!
Work today was such a drag. My boss was in a meeting in the morning, and when he got back from that, I went to lunch. He told me right before I left that he wasn't going to be in for the rest of the afternoon, so I was stuck in the office all by myself. My sister was nice enough to keep me company and we played Text Twist on Yahoo games to 324,000 -ish, yea, that's right, THAT was how bored we were. Afterwards, when we were biking home, I was fiddling with my ipod and I lost control and I cut the back of my right leg up pretty badly. It kindof looked like my arm after the H&M incident..which you guys if you want can find somewhere else on my blog. The uphill bike on Pharmacy wasn't as bad as usual (maybe I'm getting muscle, woo!), and we ate strawberry cheesecake cones when we got home. Now the weekend begins...

Schummer...

I was watching this drive-in movie last night on satellite and the director of it is named Something Schmad. Hahahahaha, i'm so schmad at you! LOL. Anyways, people have been saying how they want summer to end and for university to start. I for one want summer to be just a little bit longer. My work ends midaugust and then I only have two weeks of actual summer! I think my parents are planning some trip for themselves for a week in those two weeks so guess what people? PARTY! Let's make it big, and with alcohol. But no smoking, that will be done OFF property. I have a barbecue so maybe we'll cook up a whole whack of meat. But hey, I don't have a pool or anything plus our backyard is a wasteland...so no water fights. Hehe, I have no idea why I'm already thinking so much about having a party when my parents haven't even booked their vacay. They might even bring my sister and I along....they were planning some Alaskan cruise I believe.
On the otherhand, I DO want university to start. Make some new friends, experience some new things. I have made it official that I will be moving in to Matt's house next year..yay! I'm still bummed a little about not living in a dorm but I don't think it'll be that much of a difference. Plus I get my own room instead of sharing it with three other people! YAY!! Plus going in single ain't that bad either lol. Free as a bird you might say. My sister was saying how I can now go and have all the one night stands I want. and then she took it back the next second. Nice one Abs...smooth.
Anyways. I biked to work again today, I can really feel my thighs and calves working. By the end of my work, I'm going to have huge legs and live up to Howard's stereotype of Chinese girls and huge calves. The weirdest thing that happened was when I was biking uphill yesterday (going very VERY slowly because it was really HOT), and these two guys just howled at me from their car. I gave them the finger...it felt good =). I'm surprised that my bike hasn't gotten stolen yet from where I locked it. I mean, this is J-town..where all the teenage japanese kids hang out...suspisicous japanese kids anyways =P.
I think on the weekend a bunch of us are going swimming and baddying at the Y, that will be great since I need exercise! The only exercise I'm getting is biking for a max of 30 minutes a day in smoldering heat, which isn't a lot of fun or refreshing. I also hope to watch Charlie and the Choclate Factory AND Fantastic Four this weekend if I can fit it all in. Did you know they changed the name to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory for the original version because it was out during the Vietnam War and Charlie was some derogatory term. I'm not sure if it was Viet or some other war though...I'll check up on it later.
One more thing...two days ago, while I was walking downstairs to go buy a snack in J-town, some old lady was sitting at the bottom of the stairs and asked me if there was a washroom from where I came. I say yes and helped her up the stairs and to the bathroom (mind you she was pretty old so one flight of stairs must've been killer). Afterwards, I came back down, bought food, and started walking back up the stairs when I see this paper on the ground halfway up the stairs. I pick it up and it looked like one half of a Victoria's Secret Gift Certificate since the edges were a little jaggedy from those paper rip dots. But in actuality, it was two pieces of paper and when I opened it, the gift cert was worth $100.65. I didn't know what to do, maybe it belonged to the old woman and she dropped it. I mean, this is a lot of money i was holding in my hands. So i took it and looked around in the washroom to see if she was still there but she wasn't. I couldn't just leave it on the ground so I took it. It's in my bag still right at this very moment. What do you guys think I should do with it? Keep it or leave it where I found it?

My List

Things To Do This Summer Break

1. Go to the beach at least once!!!
2. Go swimming in a pool or lounging in a pool
3. Take a bunch of people and go to Wonderland (haven't been since grade 10!)
4. Drag a guy friend to get a manicure (this one's just for kicks)
5. Go golfing
6. Go on a shopping spree
7. Have wild parties (beg for a sleepover maybe, but not getting totally wasted)
8. Finish at least 3 books
9. Play badminton
10. Hold my own crazy parties

Some work day this has been...

So I'm sitting in the office with nothing to do. I take out my book to read, The Rule of Four, read another page and realized again why i didn't finish reading the book already (it sucks!!). I then go on the extremely slow computer and try to chat with people on web messenger, but that failed because the computer froze. And now I'm here, updating my blog because I don't really have much else to do. Oh, on a sidenote, my boss isn't even here yet. I wake my sorry ass up and get here at 9:45 (still 15 mins late though lol) and now its almost noon and he still isn't here? Did I miss a memo or something?! I seriously don't know why I kept this job, I'm sure I would be making more working at McDonalds right now.
Anyhoozles, after my horrible work day on friday I went over to Corey2's house for his little get together. It wasn't bad, I didn't drink too much and I even practiced walking straight before my dad came to pick me up. THAT was how prepared I was hehe...It ended up being a major sausage fest and me being the first one to leave, I wonder if they had their little "fashion show". Hehe, I STILL don't really know what that joke was about. We watched like 5 episodes of the O.C. and then sat around chatting.
OMG, my boss just called, he said there was some meeting this morning that I missed because I didn't come in early enough. Ah shit.....oh well, that's what you get for only paying me $1000! But yea, oh shit.
Ok, back to the partying. So on Saturday, my sister had her little gambling party (poker and mah jong) and yea, I DIDN'T get drunk. It was really weird what happened to me. I kept alternating between rum and red bull, and by 3 in the morning, I started getting weird headrushes. I usually don't get affected by red bull so it might've been the mixing of the two drinks. It took me about an hour to get to bed, i was just lying in my bed, being very awake at one moment, then extremely tired the next. The next thing I knew it was 10 hours later and was time for house-hunting in Hamilton. I've narrowed it down to two places, this one really nice place with lots of grads or matt's house. My parents want me to live at the grad place, but the atmosphere's really quiet and its full of people who are at least 4 years older than me. I need to decide soon...

Chinese People are SOOO NICE

Nah, I lied. Some of them are sooooooooo mean. I bumped into one of my mom's old friends who gave my sister a summer job and the thing she said after "hi" was "are you fatter than your sister?". I just stared at her blankly...I mean, I haven't talked to this women since I was in elementary school, let alone still know what she looked like. Today was pretty unproductive and I' m so glad that something like web messenger exists because I would've been SO bored during my lunch break. My friend from kumon actually works in J-Town which is the building right next to mine so I went and visited her today. She gave me chopsticks so i could eat my microwaveable lunch (I forgot to bring a fork =P). Later on, my boss and I went into a meeting that started at 7pm and went to 10pm. It was sooo tiring. I wanted to speak out so many times but I don't think it was my place to say anything since these people have been in the business for a lot longer than I will probably ever be in. I did meet some architects though and I can totally picture Carol doing something like that in the future.
Speaking of the future and gifties, I'm still wondering where everybody's going to be in 10 years. I mean, will Loheetha actually do the nude marathon in Princeton? Will Tiffany become a kadrillionaire? Is Adam actually the next Donald Trump? Too many questions and only time will tell I guess.
I'm so incoherent today but ok, I'm reading the Rule of Four right now and it's really boring. I mean, I need to find a better book to read during the spare time I have at the office, which is 95% of the time really.
Next thing! I drove the car to work yesterday and my boss bought me a milk tea to drink. I felt so professional when I was leaving, walking with my briefcase, holding my cup of milk tea (but it looks like coffee, lol), walking towards my car. So, I do what everyone else who ever held a cup of coffee would do, leave it on the roof of their car to put stuff away. Except I totally forgot I had it up there!!! So when I was leaving, people kept staring at me and i didn't know why. Later when I was speeding on Steeles, there's this thud and then there's creamy brown stuff dripping down my windows. The first thing I thought of was "OMG! Someone threw their ice cream cone at me!!" and then I realized it was my own damn fault. I drove to the nearest gas station and tried to wipe it off with the squeegee, but i ended up making it worse. Yesterday I was also planning to go to Kumon to drop off some presents to people so i didn't really have time to wash the car. I went, came back, washed the car, my sister helped, almost soaked each other, and the car was all nice and shiny. Woot...and no one was the wiser.

Here's Another One

You are dependable, popular, and observant.
Deep and thoughtful, you are prone to moodiness.
In fact, your emotions tend to influence everything you do.

You are unique, creative, and expressive.
You don't mind waving your freak flag every once and a while.
And lucky for you, most people find your weird ways charming!

Booored

I'm sitting in my "cubicle" right now reading a by-law and no one else is in the room, its like 2:11 and everyone's still out on their lunch break. I got so bored that I started doing those stupid quizzes on blogthings, like, OMG! I almost fell asleep reading about advertising permits and stuff in this 50 page by-law. I mean, is my boss asking me to memorize this?! Also I have discovered that I hate answering the phone, I get nervous or something and I just can't speak properly. Guess it'll take a while for me to get used to. Also right now, I'm feeling really annoyed but I don't know why I am. Annoyed, angry or just plain pissed at something (or someone? =S). I hope it goes away soon, maybe it's something like PMS or horrible mood swings becuase I have to wake up early to get to work? (And no one's there!!!). Anyways, I should get back to work so i don't look like I'm doing shit...here's a quiz I just finished doing:

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who have a split personality - cold as ice on the outside but hot as fire in the heart.

In love, you feel the most alive when things are straight-forward, and you're told that you're loved.

You'd like to your lover to think you are stylish and alluring.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was ruthless, cold-blooded, and sarcastic.

Your ideal relationship is comforting. You crave a relationship where you always feel warmth and love.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.

In this moment, you think of love as something you thirst for. You'll do anything for love, but you won't fall for it easily.

First Day of Work

Found out that the office I'm working at (ADX Advertising) was still in renovation and there was barely any space for me to do anything. The first half the day I spent looking through a grey binder to learn how to do budget and advertising in Chinese Newspapers and such. The latter half was actually doing the budget proposal for advertisement for this old folks home (Mon Sheong on Kennedy and McNicoll) and also figuring out the media schedule for two months of newspaper advertising, tv, and radio commercials. Lost of fun that was. Seriously though, my boss asked me to go with him to a meeting on Thursday and I was glad to go, but I'm still all bitter about the $1000 I'm getting. Plus the computer I'm using is so frikkin slow!! My laptop has spoiled me beyong belief. I hope tomorrow will be a little bit more entertaining. I was soooooooooo bored today and I wish I just worked at Tim Hortons or something (I feel bad quitting this job =S).
I went to Winners after work today and bought presents for Kumon people that I'm planning to give them on wednesday. I felt bad just leaving without giving them some good-bye present after 9 years of going to Kumon. I'm so FRIKKIN GLAD ITS OVER THOUGH!!! YESS!!! I hope to never see those small sheets of paper ever again! Muahahahaha....heheh...*dies out*

BBQness!

Yay! Congratulations Tiffany on another successful bbq! I actually had the car again today which was GREAT!! I ended up picking up Anthony from his house because he got stranded there without a car or parents/sibling, and also drive my sister to Fairview Mall. We were looking around the entire mall trying to find water balloons and surprisingly enough, there was NONE! Not a SINGLE store had water balloons, not even the Silver Dollar had water balloons!!! What kind of BS is that? Anyways, we left my sister at Fairview because she had to go meet her boyfriend at Bay/Bloor later on, and went to Bridlewood mall. I have decided henceforth that Bridlewood mall is the BEST place to go for anything (most essential things). I mean, we wanted water balloons, BAM! Water balloons at A Buck Or Two!; we wanted to get ice cream cake, BAM!! Price Chopper RIGHT THERE! I think I could've done all my formal stuff there too because it had the flower shop for the boutineer, the nail place for manicures, a hair salon, etc. etc. I think the thing about Bridlewood mall that separates it from any other ones is that it has small stores that always have nice deals, and no huge shopping chain like Gap or anything (even the Laura Secord isn't there anymore!). I mean, of course you have the McDonalds and the Pizza Pizza, but that's food and therefore doesn't count.
Anyways, we turned the AC WAAYYYY up in the car to keep the ice cream cake frozen and got to Tiff's a little late because we had to drive ALL the way back to Bridlewood from Fairview mall. The water balloons were a huge success and by the end everyone who stepped outside into the backyard was soaked..or extremely wet. Jeff especially got soaked and also didn't bring a change of clothes so Tiff was generous enough to lend him some of HER clothes. The pants..hehehe...let's just say that they were very slimming and high in the crotch area. Afterwards when we all dried off by lazying around on the porch, we went downstairs and watched Napolean Dynamite. Hilarious moment: "That movie MADE NOOO SENSE". We ended off with a huge pillow fight where the main people who got hurt were me and stephanie. I mean, how can I (the skinny girl with one extremely soft pillow) beat Alan (much bigger than me with two painful hard pillows)? Later, we all got tired and I drove Alan and Corey 2 back to Corey's place. When I went in, I was surprised that the house wasn't in more of a wreck (sorry I doubted you guys).
***
I found out today that I'm on the waiting list for residence at Mac next year which really sucks!!! On the first year waiting list out of 400 people, I'm ranked 319th. Mark was saying how I should just kill 319 people (including the 320th just in case) But still even if I got to res, it would probably be in a triple or quad that I wouldn't enjoy being in. We're going to go look at houses tomorrow, but I really hope I can live with someone I know next year (Matt? nudge nudge). I think from where I stand right now, I would rather live in a house than live in a triple or quad. I just hope everything turns out ok in the end.

The Crazy before the Boringness

Wow, I just realized that I've gone out more from the past couple of days than I usually do for an entire month. First of all the swimming on Monday and then yesterday (meaning Thursday) I went to the dragonboat party, which was pretty awesome (go hottub!! and getting drunk off nothingness!) and then on the same day at night going to see War of the Worlds at 10:40 pm (gasp! what is the world coming to?!). I was so surprised that my parents actually let me go see it because it was so late and possibly with whom I saw it with. The movie was alright, it had its scary and intense moments but it also had the whole not-really-explaining-what-actually-happened-at-the-end-of-the-movie deal. I'm sure I would have understood it if it wasn't so late at night but yea, that's my excuse. Got home around 1:30 ish and I was doubly surprised when my dad just said "hi" and "you should go to bed" instead of "what do you think you are doing going out that late at night?!" which then leads to "you don't respect your parents!" which is the new topic for lectures these days. Sometimes I'm scared of ever introducing people to my parents, just because of the interrogation (from experiences with abby and alex, thank goodness it happened to them first :P).
Anyways back to my original topic of going out a lot (hehe..), and then today I went out to Tiff's place and watched the Machinist (Christian Bale, you frighten me at the lengths you go for a movie). It was a pretty damn good movie but it seemed to be a little too "deep" for Jeff (lol!). And now I just got back from watching fireworks down by the lake, across the lake actually from Ontario Place so we didn't have to pay. It was fun except for the idiotic people HOLDING fireworks while they went off RIGHT BEHIND us. I seriously didn't think people could be so stupid, guess I underestimated. It was exceptionally chilly compared to the daytime (13 C i think?) and you could just smell the weed in the air. My mom was like "yea, I used to smell this almost every night living in the Chicago dorm", that was HER excuse if you know what I mean...Abby and I ended up buying strobe accessories just so we got some souvenirs from the night; I got this spike strobe bracelet and she got a koosh-like strobe ring.
And tomorrow, I'm heading off to a party again, BBQ!! and I hope the weather isn't too cold. I hope I can find something to do on Sunday too just to finish off the weekend and have one final moment of wildness before I have to start my horrible underpaid job the next day.
