Chinese People are SOOO NICE
Nah, I lied. Some of them are sooooooooo mean. I bumped into one of my mom's old friends who gave my sister a summer job and the thing she said after "hi" was "are you fatter than your sister?". I just stared at her blankly...I mean, I haven't talked to this women since I was in elementary school, let alone still know what she looked like. Today was pretty unproductive and I' m so glad that something like web messenger exists because I would've been SO bored during my lunch break. My friend from kumon actually works in J-Town which is the building right next to mine so I went and visited her today. She gave me chopsticks so i could eat my microwaveable lunch (I forgot to bring a fork =P). Later on, my boss and I went into a meeting that started at 7pm and went to 10pm. It was sooo tiring. I wanted to speak out so many times but I don't think it was my place to say anything since these people have been in the business for a lot longer than I will probably ever be in. I did meet some architects though and I can totally picture Carol doing something like that in the future.
Speaking of the future and gifties, I'm still wondering where everybody's going to be in 10 years. I mean, will Loheetha actually do the nude marathon in Princeton? Will Tiffany become a kadrillionaire? Is Adam actually the next Donald Trump? Too many questions and only time will tell I guess.
I'm so incoherent today but ok, I'm reading the Rule of Four right now and it's really boring. I mean, I need to find a better book to read during the spare time I have at the office, which is 95% of the time really.
Next thing! I drove the car to work yesterday and my boss bought me a milk tea to drink. I felt so professional when I was leaving, walking with my briefcase, holding my cup of milk tea (but it looks like coffee, lol), walking towards my car. So, I do what everyone else who ever held a cup of coffee would do, leave it on the roof of their car to put stuff away. Except I totally forgot I had it up there!!! So when I was leaving, people kept staring at me and i didn't know why. Later when I was speeding on Steeles, there's this thud and then there's creamy brown stuff dripping down my windows. The first thing I thought of was "OMG! Someone threw their ice cream cone at me!!" and then I realized it was my own damn fault. I drove to the nearest gas station and tried to wipe it off with the squeegee, but i ended up making it worse. Yesterday I was also planning to go to Kumon to drop off some presents to people so i didn't really have time to wash the car. I went, came back, washed the car, my sister helped, almost soaked each other, and the car was all nice and shiny. Woot...and no one was the wiser.
