Goodbye Wind Ensemble! Farewell my most beloved French Horn! I have played you since Grade 4 (that would be...8 years?!), and it is finally time for us to part. We have gone through so many memories, like the ones with me struggling to carry you home to practice....
Yes, it has been a long time for me in this TDSB music program, even though I didn't take the course this year. I remember that in Sam Steele (Elementary school), there were 4 people playing the french horn (including me!), then MacMillan was 6 people (the French Horn is just SOOOO popular!), and then I come to Woburn: "What do you mean I'm the only french horn?!". It's been loads of fun, especially seeing Mrs. Houghton begging other people to play french horn so I wasn't the only one...even though we didn't particularly sound any better with more than one french horn. But yes, can you believe I'm graduating?! I don't feel prepared to go anywhere yet! I mean, I feel like I haven't experienced all that I should experience in high school. I haven't gone through some life changing moment, and I don't think I've made any friends that I would really talk to for the rest of my life (please people, prove me wrong on the latter one). What university am I going to?! Oh, I am totally ruling out McGill now because I just found out Karla Homolka (sp?) is going to live in Montreal. Yea, I'm being a little overly dramatic but hey, now I have a somewhat reasonable excuse to not live so far away from my parents. That reminds me, I'm totally going to Queens next week for that high school E=mc2 thingy. Hands-on Pathology! Please people, take notes and sheets for me in class so I don't get more lost than I already am! ;)! Thanks a bunch everybody!
I have to say though that I don't think I would be the person I am today if it wasn't for the people I have met and enjoyed my time with. So from the very bottom of my heart I thank you. Thank you music for teaching me to listen and express myself and to the teachers for letting me do all the crazy shit that I do. This reminds me, I must go back and visit Sam Steele and MacMillan one more time before I graduate.

Well well... I think it's appropriate that I stumbled across this place for this post. Go Sam Steele French Horns!
Leona, Patricia, you and me, IIRC.
Tell me when you plan to go back, I'll go with ya :)
