Alone

Wow, this is a first in this house...me all by myself in the house. It's crazy because usually John or one of the girls are here, but nope. The girls went home for the weekend and John went to the gym. Speaking of which, I should go to the gym...but NOOOOOO i have to do algebra stuff. Argh! It's so difficult because in a high school, the teacher's always there to help and you know exactly where to find him (and you could probably see him every day) but it's a lot more difficult in university since the prof probably doesn't even remember your face. Anyways, the reason why I'm saying it's difficult is that I have to do this online algebra quiz that's due tomorrow and it took me 2 hours! The time they give you is only 15 minutes but if you can't do it, you can keep trying until you get it right (they change the question every time of course). I finally got it after using 7 double-sided sheets of paper and I'm kindof glad that Mr. Mo touched on matrices last year because MY GOD it helped. I barely did any kind of matrix work in Kumon so it's weird learning new stuff for me sometimes. Anyways, other than that, I got a crapload of chem to still read.
Tomorrow is going to be my rest day and I'm going to the mall! (I think). I need to buy a pair of shorts for the gym that has pockets so I don't have to keep sticking my card underneath my underwear elastic...feels weird.

Watson 2.0 Slated for Release Today
Search company Intellext is positioning its Watson 2.0 desktop search program as an alternative to ... Intriguingly, a Blogs tab offers relevant blog results - which could be the killer feature.
Nice to see some decent content for a change. FYI, I log on today and see that we've got a new feature, the 'Flag blog' button, which is inconveniently located between the 'Get Your Own Blog' and 'Next Blog' buttons so that we would presumably be getting some flags on error alone (although if one happens to notice it, you can unflag a blog) But that's a trivial matter. What concerns me is this: When a person visiting a blog clicks the "Flag?" button in the Blogger Navbar, it means they believe the content of the blog may be potentially offensive or illegal. We track the number of times a blog has been flagged as objectionable and use this information to determine what action is needed. This feature allows the blogging community as a whole to identify content they deem objectionable. Ok, see the problem with this? What's "objectionable." I'm guessing there are a good deal of people that would likely deem my blog to be objectionable; and there lies the problem: what is objectionable and what is subjective. Just my 2 cents, New Nokia 6800
