formal tickets

Yay! I finally bought my formal tickets but I have never seen so much disorganization in one committee ever in my entire life. The females selling the tickets were all idiots. Nothing more nothing less..well, maybe even less. They were just so incompetent! I mean, we pay the money, you count the money, you GIVE BACK change, write our names down and give us receipts. How long should it take? Not 5 minutes a person that's for sure! Anyways, I bought the tickets with 3 $50s, and the brown girl told me to wait a second when she checks my money under the UV. I stand there for 15 minutes...just watching everybody else pass by me and get fustrated by their incompetency before I realize that they forgot about me. I mean..fuck! Wasting my time just standing there. At least I got a good laugh when I found out that I wasn't the only person being totally annoyed by these people. The good thing is, I got my formal tickets =). Woohoo!!

I want out.

The weekend's going pretty well and I was kind of sad that I decided not to go to Shirley's suprise birthday party (happy birthday Shirley!) but I'm just way too exhausted to go to a party right now. Everything I did this week has really pulled on me physically and sometimes even mentally as well. Some good and some bad I have to say too. When I mentioned earlier before that I felt that I was overexerting myself I wasn't kidding. My muscles aren't exactly sore or in any pain, but I feel that even walking is sucking out all my energy. The badminton game on monday was pretty awesome, beating Campbell, spirits high and everything. When thursday rolled around, and we had to play against Cedarbrae and R.H. King...things didn't seem to go as smoothly. Lots of drama on my part, and even though we won both matches, I felt disappointment. Long story short, I got pissed off at certain people.
So for today, I just wanted to get away from everything, just be by myself. I'm not an introvert but I need to recuperate from the week. My parents and I went out for lunch, then went to Zellers to buy some cheap bikes (all of our bikes have been stolen). Afterwards, my mom decided that I needed to get out so we went and saw the Interpreter. It was actually extremely good. The acting was awesome and I didn't look at my watch once (I usually do when the movie is boring obviously). I also did something else today, but I won't say...you'll see on monday.

Off Topic: I got accepted into everywhere I applied to, except for UBC which hasn't given me anything yet. YAY! Lots of choices!

Tired

I think I have overexerted my body from doing too much exercise. I mean, I'm sure there are lots of other people who do waaay more sports and such than I but I am seriously aching right now. My abs are still killing from dragonboat practice on Friday (yes...I know that's pitiful), my left shoulder kills from golfing (it wasn't even a course! It was just a driving range!), and from badminton today.
Speaking of badminton, Enoch and I kicked some butt today. I found out that we were the only team from Woburn that beat Campbell, but I have to say, all of our teams put up a really good fight. I was watching some of the other games and a lot of them were really close, mixed C just had a little bit of extra luck I guess. All of our teams beat Wexford I believe, and I congratulate Wexford for giving all their effort into it.
Can't wait to play against King and Cedarbrae on Thursday!

I can see!!

The weekend is finally here! On Wednesday I was very discomforted when I found out that I could see clearly if I wore my contacts AND glasses at the same time. After this, I insisted my mom to make an eye exam appointment for me, and today was the day. I knew it, my perscription had gotten worse, but it ONLY increased by .75 each eye, I thought it would have doubled. The eye person gave me this sample of Hydrafresh Acuvue Lenses, the newest ones from Acuvue I think, and they are pretty comfortable..I'm wearing them right now actually. I was so excited when I could read the traffic signs on the road...kind of disheartening isn't it? Afterwards, my parents and me went to the driving range for two jumbo buckets and my arms are killing me now. I haven't used those muscles since last year for golfing and they are so achy! Speaking of achy, my abs are sore from dragonboat practice on Friday. We didn't even do that much too! Oh well, this just means that I need to do some more ab work at home to define that six pack which I obviously have.

Sidenote: Is it just me? Or is April going by REALLY slowly?

Television

I made a deal with a friend that I will only watch 5 hours of television this week, as opposed to 5 hours a day, and yes, I am ashamed of myself for watching that much tv to begin with. I've planned out my week, figured out which shows I HAVE to watch, and it's really sad that the two are reality shows. Yes yes yes, I've heard it all before, "reality shows suck, they're fake, blah blah blah", but I just can't help it! I'm another victim to these reality shows. At least the one I like are the awesome ones, not the let's-put-celebs-or-random-people-together-and-see-what-happens shows or the make-me-over-because-I-hate-myself shows...I'm talking about Amazing Race and ANTM. First of all, in Amazing Race, teams get to travel all over the world (went to India this week), do all these crazy tasks (find the clue by digging in this gigantic mud field), plus all these hilarious moments because of the language barriers and overall idiocy of some of them. Plus this season, Rob and Amber, for those who don't watch Survivor, are the two winners and are right now really kicking ass. I just finished watching America's Next Top Model on City and I can't believe they got rid of two girls! Woah!!! But hey, it's true, they both really suck. Just go to the site if you want to check it out. The photoshoots are crazy, and if you've been to Tiff's blog, you can see that she's attempting to do the two poses in one thing from Cycle 3. ANTM is also the perfect show to watch while on the treadmill if you know what I mean.

Sidenote: Someone make April finish faster!!!! I want to go to Queens and party!!

"Walk down the right back alley in Sin City..."

I went to see Sin City yesterday after another extremely boring day at Kumon. I have to admit, the movie was pretty fantastic. It was obvious that the special effects were incredible, but I got really hooked on the grusomeness of it all. I mean, I've never seen so many testicle-related injuries ever in a movie. I really have to hand it to Frank Miller and his awesome comics, even though I haven't read all of them. I can't imagine how much work it was to film the entire movie in an empty room and a green screen. That just amazed me. I definitely have to see it again, just to relive the stories from the movie. I think my favourite character has to be Miho, she's so ninja with her swords and swastika death stars. It was really cool that Frank Miller was in the movie too as the Priest, pretty nice cameo, if you want to call it that.
On another note, I got the course I wanted in Queens in May, and I really can't wait to go. It's Hands-On Pathology, click here if you want to see what's in it. This course was the only reason I wanted to go last year, and I'm glad Mr. Grigg's gave me a second (third?) chance to go this year. Can't wait till April's over!

rage.

Alright, I know have three acceptances to universities: Waterloo, McMaster, Ottawa. I have no idea which school I want to go to, I'll probably wait until I get all my acceptances first. I still haven't visited any universities other than Queens (which was unintentional), so I should do something about that soon. It still blows my mind that high school is coming to an end...and I can't wait until it's finally over! Anyways, while I was writing this blog, my dad yelled at me because I didn't put beer in the fridge for him. It pisses the hell out of me that he starts ranting about 'how I can't do anything at all" because I didn't put the fucking beer in the fridge. Oh yea, that's another reason why I want to get out of high school and into university..to be away from my parents!!! God damn, I just wish they would leave me alone sometimes. I'm sure I'm just full of teen angst and pms probably but it just blows my mind how unreasonable they get (or my dad usually) about things. "You can't do anything", "How are you supposed to be responsible in university?", "why don't you do something for a change?!", "you are just USELESS"...just SHUT UP!!!!!!

Fuck. You think I would be used to this sort of shit now since it's been happening my entire life, but it didn't dawn on me that I could defend myself until I started high school. I guess everything just comes full circle sometimes.

The weekend is too short...

Wow, the first week back at school felt soooooooo long. The days just seemed to drag on and on, and the weekend just seems to be going too fast. I finally got a phone call from the YMCA (one of the places I applied to for a job) to set up an interview, and hopefully that goes well. I really need to get a job over the summer, the guilt is starting to settle in on how much my parents have spent on me/household this year: new laptop, university application money, entire kitchen, dishwasher (which broke down *shakes fist*), redoing the bathroom, opera....Speaking of the opera, it's this Wednesday, and I really can't wait to see it. Although I probably won't be able to understand anything, I haven't been to an opera (in Canada anyways) for...ever? I'll just read the plot summary before I go to get the jist of it. Fancy dress wearing time!!

This weekend is one of the most miserable weekends that I have experienced for a long time. First of all, there's snow. Every day leading up to Saturday seemed fine, the sun was shining, the birds were chirping..and then BOOM! Snow, snow and more snow..oh, and we can't forget that gale force wind too. Second, daylight savings time, if I just had one more hour, I could have done something important...like, clean my room or...wash the dishes? Third of all, this biology test on Wednesday is going to make the first two days back at school stressful. I need to realize that I still need to do work and do well on tests (hehehe...a 38% on a Physics test) or else my parents are going to have a field day with me if I get unaccepted to universities because of my horrible marks. Finally, it goes by faster than the school week. Usually, they go at the same rate, but last week...ugh, felt like a century.

Nothing else to say except that I just found out that my sister's undergrad commencement is on June 2, which is the same day as formal..so I can't go. I would be able to go if the commencement was in the morning, but noooo, it had to be in the afternoon and in Kingston. Bloody hell....

Total side thought: How come the zipper on male clothes and females clothes different (as in flipped)?
