Stellaaa!!!

Happy 15-days-after-Chinese-New-Year! It's supposedly an important day since it was a full moon last night. Oooooo..anyways, our group has two weeks to practice and perfect our play Streetcar Named Desire, and hopefully we can pull it off. Our costumes are so awesome too! I got this pink haltertop dress, funky and hopefully looks like its from the 1950s. Can you believe that after high school, we're all going to be ADULTS?! and we can...VOTE?! crazy.
I'm starting to get really pissed off at the TTC. I mean, what's the point of having a schedule if noone's going to follow it? Seriously. The Pharmacy bus today was supposed to come at 4:31 pm, and I was waiting at the stop since 4:25 until 4:41 until I gave up. Argh! Stupid Pharmacy. I ended up taking the Victoria Park bus and walking an extra block home. (It's bloody cold outside!!!)

badminton

Yay! Badminton has started! I'm so excited! Yup, not being sarcastic at all. Seriously, I really am! I just hope I don't get stuck in flight C again this year, because I really think I improved a lot in strategy and technique from last year to play very well. Anyways, badminton is fun fun fun.
We're starting the play unit in English class, and I'm in Streetcar Named Desire, which is set in N'awlens. Our group already did some work on it, but I really can't wait for the costumes and the actual performance. I'm playing Stella, the abused pregnant wife. Haha, don't worry, the character is nothing like me. Speaking of abuse, Valentine's Day was on monday, and the SAC planned it to be Love Day (kill me.). They sold roses of different colours, had a marraige booth, and even had a singles bar, which I thought was pretty awesome, except I had to pay a dime to get a small shot of juice. A DIME!
Musicfest is on friday, so all you ladies and gents, don't forget to wear your dress shirts, pants and black shoes! And especially don't forget those red ties and sashes. Oh yea, can't wait for music fest! Ok, I admit it, that was sarcastic. Our band is so not ready for music fest. I mean, we're really good and we play really well, but the thing is, one of our major percussionists is not going to be there because of "school reasons". Anyways, I just hope I can hit that stupid High G before friday! (I play french horn, have been since grade 4).

jackpot!

All right people! It's that time of the year again..Chinese New Year! Which means red pockets, which means money - which is always good. Especially when you get a lot of it at one time. Chinese New Year was on Wednesday Jan. 9, but I haven't had time to update this blog. So this year is the year of the Rooster, and I celebrated by going out with my grandparents and having a huge dinner (with one of the dishes being chicken - I mean, what's better to celebrate the year of the chicken than eating one?). Today was my huge family gathering with my dad's side of the family at my aunt's house, and I guess it was all right. You know, me being the only one in the entire house not being able to read and write Chinese...I mean, even my four year old niece knew more than me. Her name's Rachel by the way, she's so cute and extremely hyper. After the dinner, my dad went to go play a couple of rounds of mah jong while my mom and I watched The Forgotten - not the legal version of it of course. That movie was horrible. I mean, really REALLY bad. The storyline, the characters, the acting...it was just bland and didn't make that much sense. The plot was that these aliens or something was trying to conduct this experiment about whether or not the love connection between the mother and her child can be disintegrated (lame, I know), but we're just getting to the juicy part. You remember all those trailers on tv? With the people all of a sudden got sucked up into the sky? Well, it didn't really make a lot of sense. You would think they would explain what happened to those people, or what exactly did it, but you don't. Who came up with the story of having aliens abduct children so they can see whether or not they can erase the memories of the parents? Nothing gets explained, just more and more spontaneous and nonsensical things happen in the movie. Oi...bad movie.
Today was a PA day too (woo!), and me and a couple of other people went swimming and played badminton at the North York Y, which is actually extremely close to where I live. The place there was amazing, and somehow I was able to get in free (I guess it was my charm), since it was my second time using a YMCA. The swimming was good, my friends theorized that the reason why I swim faster than they do is because I'm skinny, so I'm like a squid. A squid?! Yea, good memories from today.

Aladdin!

I think the problem with me is that I worry myself WAY TOO MUCH! I say this because my marks from the exams were actually pretty good, and I should stop being so anal about all these tests and such and such. After reading my last blog, which was some time ago, I realized just how wound up I was about my life and my future, and I really don't need to worry so much about it because I know I can handle it. I'm positive that I can handle whatever comes my way. The graduation comments for our yearbook were due today, and it hits me: we are graduating. I knew this day would happen, but this seem to take time to absorb into my brain. I can't believe it. Another chapter over! I guess high school has been a sweet ride and I'm sorry that it's over, but life moves on. There are new experiences to be...experienced. Don't worry about the past! HAKUNA MATATA. Speaking of that, I just watched Aladdin a couple of days ago, and I loved it! The "Classic" Disney movies are the best cartoon movies out there, and I'm really bummed that they're not making that big of a splash as they used to. Now, its the 3-D Pixar/Dreamworks animation that's the newest craze. Anyways, back to the grad comment, I had no idea what to write! I wanted it to be something special, yet not to inside joke-ish. I looked up some grad quotes on the Internet, and I found a great site with all these Dr. Seuss quotes. I obviously used one of them. Oh my, the time is late. good night and I promise you folks i will update more often. See ya.
