Go 2005!

Wow, I totally forgot to update my blog for the new year. My parents went away to Cuba for a week, first week of school actually, so I got the car and it was great. On the Thursday and Friday night of that week, I went to two different all-you-can-eat restaurants. Thursday night was an all-you-can-eat steak restaurant, which was excellent, and Friday night was an all-you-can-eat hotpot place, which was very delicious also. The steakhouse restaurant was so pretty! Instead of having chairs that movie and whatnot, they had leather sofas. SOFAS! That was pretty awesome, other than the fact that they were so comfortable, that we started getting pretty tired while eating. Going back another week was my New Year's Eve get-together, which was alright. Not a lot of people came but we had a lot of fun nonetheless (first time drinking!). We played Apples to Apples, watched some TV, played some ping pong, and a friend stayed for the night and we watched Casablanca. I'm pretty sure I would have appreciated the movie more if we didn't watch it at 4 am in the morning. Zoom past to last week. Last week was the first week of school and it was horrible. I didn't want to do any work, and then all these tests in things that I should've studied for over the break had to be written. And since my parents weren't at home, I didn't go to bed until 2 am every night. Abby and I had a lot of fun just bonding for a week, and today she has to take the bus back to Kingston. *sniff*. I'm not that sad though because she's in a bad mood for some reason and its pissing me off. I'm going up to stay with her during March Break and hopefully play some badminton with her Queens buddies. I watched Alias on Wednesday and it wasn't that bad, kind of predictable with the whole Sydney and Vaughan thing. Anyways, the OC on Thursday was pretty hilarious, and I think I'm starting to like that show a lot. Gilmore Girls was doing the rerun thing on Wednesday, so nothing new to report there. I heard yesterday that Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt decided to "formally break up", which I guess is pretty sad since they've been living together for 7 years, but Brad wanted a family, and Jen wanted to make more money. It just wasn't clicking anymore. Speaking of not clicking anymore, that Russell Peters thing is starting to get on my nerves. I mean, it was great to watch the movie, laugh and repeat those hilarious one-liners. But everywhere I go now, people keep repeating those lines OVER and OVER and OVER again!! In kumon, I hear from across the room, "Confucius say, you got to jail BAD BOY!", and in a restaurant, "somebody gonna get a hurt real bad." They're funny, but people who keep repeating it, and repeating it, will eventually kill it! Russell needs to find some new material so I can hear some different lines, and not the same bloody ones over and over. Ending on a happy note, I went to a birthday party yesterday and it was a lot of fun (Happy birthday Robyn and Ian). The food was great (thank you mr/mrs hughes), and we played some board games, like the Battle of the Sexes, and Apples to Apples. We watched Napoleon Dynamite too, which was a pretty hilarious movie.
