Theory of a Deadman
They came to Mac on Friday and played at Quarters. There was some opening band that had nothing new to give so we left, chilled some more, and then went back in after about an hour. The lead singer is actually skinnier than I thought. I guess it is true what they say about the tv adding 10 lbs., and I do have to add that his facial hair looks a lot better than that muttonchop thing he had going on at the beginning (even though it's a soul patch).
Tomorrow's Chinese New Year! Year of the Dog! Time for family fun, food and red pockets. Wish everyone luck on the rake-in this year.
Hangovers suck.
Alright, I learnt my lesson (the second time around). Mixing is bad! Went to Sanjee's res for his little birthday bash and we had a pretty good time. Did like 5 shots of vodka supposedly, and then a group of us went out for a "session". Glad that I wasn't the only girl there which was awesome. I don't remember much except that I had alot of trouble going over this step/ditch when we were coming back. It was cool how your feet are going faster than your body, and there are all these sparkly lights everywhere.
Woke up this morning, was a little late for my bio lab but it was alright in the end. Got put into an ok group and we have to do this "problem-based learning" project. I think I was still feeling it that morning because I couldn't focus or anything, and I didn't feel too bad in my head. After my labs, I started to feel it; the pressure in my brain, the blurred vision, the "look-like-crap" look. Much fun.
Mind you guys, I'm still up to par on most of my work. Just a little behind on bio and chem and thats about it! I'm surprised that I'm still on top of my work right now. *knock on wood*
I'm STILL feeling this headache! It went away for a bit and now it came back, probably because I got a little anxiety fit and it got it going again.
In other news, went and saw Underworld: Evolution today. It was amazing! Plot was ok, doesn't look like there's going to be a third movie unless the writers really pull something out of their asses, and there was definitely a lot of gore and blood. LOTS OF IT! IT WAS GREAT!!
Hope to see you woburnites during reading week!

New term!
My new year's resolution was to stay on top of work, and going into my second week, I still am! Sortof.... Got lots of reading to do but I'm up for it. I think I'm due for a little post since my last one was from 2005! So this makes this the first post of 2006! Yes!
My classes have been pretty interesting, including my biology prof at the moment, who looks a lot like Mr. Grigg but with really long hair and bear. He even talks about nonsensical things that have nothing to do with the course too! Crazy, I even though it WAS Mr. Grigg but in disguise. My chemistry prof's alright too, I went to his first lecture and then I went to Kyle's prof too. They're both pretty interesting, and I think McCarry is the only one who doesn't have a thick accent.
We had our first official dragonboat meeting of the new term yesterday and I have to say, I'm really excited. The uniforms are a lot nicer than at Woburn's, plus we do a lot more social things, like there's a kegger happening soon (even though I can't go because I'm NOT 19), and also car washes and whatnot. The coaches and captains showed us a little clipshow of their past years and their rankings. Last year, they won first in C division (Woburn beat them yes! but we didn't get a trophy) but got beaten by all of those UT teams. How many do they have?! Like a billion?! Anyways, it's going to be fun, and who knows, maybe we'll bump into the Woburn team again (and possibly kick more ass this year!)
