Back to TO

Well, I totally forgot to update yesterday since I didn't get to bed until 6 a.m. and missed sunlight two nights ago and went to bed at 7 a.m. last night, er, this morning. Let me start by telling you that the club experience was a bust. Keisha Chante was there performing, and we didn't know that the club closed after she left (which was about 10:30 pm) because it usually closed at 2 a.m. We ended up meeting some other of my sister's friends and we set off to the bubble tea shop. We stayed there until almost 3 in the morning playing cards. Then my sister and I watched The Grudge, which scared the shit out of me. I'm scared of closets, bed sheets and creaking noises. Yesterday, I went shopping with my sister and bought myself two halter tops and my formal shoes. That night, we stayed up watching 4 movies: Taxi, The Stepford Wives, Ella Enchanted, Big Fish. The Stepford Wives was suprisingly extremely hilarious, and I actually liked Ella Enchanted. Anyways, took a four hour nap, then took the 1:15 pm bus back to Toronto. When I stepped inside my house, it felt like I never left.

Oh, my parents redid my bathroom. It's so nice and blue now, and there are no cracks in the wall!!

Kingston Day 2

Today was pretty eventful. Woke up around 11:30 (didn't go to bed until 3 am) and waited until my sister woke up from her after class nap. We went shopping for a couple of hours, bought myself a webcam for $20 which was pretty awesome. We went to a greek restaurant for lunch and the portions were huge! I wasn't even able to eat through half of that plate (finished it for dinner though). Around 9 pm, the whole household went to play some badminton, and we played for about 3 hours. I met some new people, won some games, lost some games, it was a lot of fun. We got back to the house earound 12, and three of us got a little hungry. We decided to go to A&P to find something to eat, but found out they closed at 10pm for Easter holidays. By this time, we were all itching for some gelato so we decided to go th Dairy Queen...but it was also closed! Abby and her roomie eventually bought some bubble tea, and I got a McDeal which was much cheaper. I'm probably not going to bed until late again tonight...just because I can.. *evil laughter*

Kingston Day 1

Alright, first day in Kingston and nothing eventful yet. The bus was 15 minutes late at Scarborough Town Centre, and my dad detached the "not valid if detached" ticket, but the driver was nice enough to take it anyways. I sat next to a brown guy on the bus, which was alright, didn't talk to him though. I got a horrible headache halfway to Kingston because of this old woman who looked like Dee Snyder and smelt like old cheap European perfume passed by me to go to the washroom, and then walk passed again to get back to her seat. Double whammy of horrible odor! I mean, the brown guy next to me was nothing compared to her. It was like a gigantic European monster blob that killed everyone's sense of smell for 5 seconds. When I got to where my sister lived, I found out that there weren't any ports left to plug in my laptop to the internet, and since I've gotten my laptop, I've been quite dependent on the internet. I'm so glad that my sister let me use her computer or else I would've gone mad. More awesome things in Kingston to come, so stay tuned!

Springtime!

Spring is finally coming! The sun is shining, the temperature is above 0, it's great. I watched Ring 2 today and it was uh...pretty difficult to understand if you haven't seen the first movie. You know how there are some sequels where they kindof give you a little rundown of what happened in the movie before it? Well, Ring 2 didnt have one, so it was confusing for some (hehehe). The movie had its creepy moments, but all in all, I would give it a 4/10 for overall plot and acting.

March Break

Alright, it's been two weeks and now I finally have time to update. Actually this is the worse time to update since I have a test tomorrow, but I really need to take my mind off of it for a while. So what has been going on in my life? Mostly nothing really, surprised? Thought so. Our group performed the play extremely well on the 11th and I couldn't be happier. Although there were a few slip ups, the audience still understood it and thats all that mattered. I got a bit out of character for some parts because the audience was making me laugh a little, and some other parts where people missed their lines. Yea, there was a lot of improv in our first uninterrupted runthrough of our play. Like the "polka dot shirt" save that Phil did when Web didn't have time to put on that "crazy crown"...I'm still laughing over that. I'm so sad that the unit's over, but happy at the same time because I got so stressed crazed over not being able to do a good job, such and such.
March Break starts on the 18th and I don't know what I'm going to do! I mean, for the first half of the week anyways. The second half is planned out with my sister already and I hope it's not too uninteresting. Music Council social is also during the March Break, and I took the liberty of organizing it, you know, having two days to actually call everyone and get the entire day planned...but we got it done. Comet Bowling Lanes next Tuesday at 3:30, and I don't know how much time we have..hopefully enough time to make it a decent bowling time.
I haven't recieved any acceptances yet for any universities except for Waterloo and I'm really scared that I'm not going to get accepted anywhere else! I mean, loads of other people got accepted to York and Carlton, etc. but nothing for me yet. At least with Waterloo I got a back up if I don't get into anywhere else.
I had my first tri-meet in badminton today of the season and it was so much fun! We won against MacDonald and lost against Leacock, and I can't wait for the next game. I think adrenaline really gives you an extra boost when playing because I didn't know I had so much energy to give off..until I started screwing up because I was running so much and not watching the birdie. Enoch, mixed partner, was really good too, and he got a real workout from running everywhere while I just stood smack in the centre getting ready to hit those short shots.
Anyways, I think I ranted enough and I should really get back to work....stupid physics!

Yes! March break is finally only two weeks away! I really can't wait to go partying with my sister in Kingston. Yes, I know, Kingston is puny but there are many clubs there. Hopefully I'll be able to dance out all my inhibitions and maybe even meet some new people, if you know what I mean ;). Our group is peforming Streetcar Named Desire this friday and I really can't wait. I know by the time I actually have to perform I'm going to choke, but until then, I'm so excited. I love the story too, just so much violence, its great! I think our group is the only group that kept in all the kissing scenes since I guess they are pretty important in the play to show Blanche's pedophile-ness and also the entire aura of that time period. I mean, come on, the setting was late 40s in New Orleans, everyone was horny and sex-driven. Oh man, Blanche's orgasmic "oh's" and Stella's make-up sex (we are not actually having sex on stage but it's blatantly obvious). Nothing else really happened since my last update, but there was this one infamous party last Saturday where I have heard many interesting shall we say, stories. I also downloaded Phantom of the Opera this week and I think I'm in love with it. I know I know, the acting could improve but they didn't butcher the singing so I enjoyed it immensely. The story of the Phantom was also so beautiful, I mean, it's just great! The compassion, love, beauty, hatred, oh man, I think I'll watch it again and again and again. I could sing the songs everyday and not get sick of it. After I finished watching the movie, I turned on the tv and I could really see the degeneration of music to talking-with-a-beat. Hopefully history repeats itself and we'll have majority of the music being good music once again. I'm not saying that all music is horribly, but the classic stuff is unbeatable. The creativity that goes into that is undeniable and composing music for an orchestra? That's hard stuff right there.

March is here!

Yes! March is finally here! I thought it would never come! The beginning of March means that march break is imminent! Teachers just love to load up the work before a break don't they? I also can't wait for Spirit week, wondering what our trusted SAC has planned for us this year.
